How can a natural stone manufacturer improve energy efficiency and reduce energy costs? Which products based on natural stone are more efficient?

AIDICO coordinates ECO-STONE, a new project based on the innovation and demonstration of the new advances in the production chain of natural stone.

ECO-STONE - Sustainable system implementation for natural stone production and use, is a European project financed by the European Community through the LIFE+ programme.

The ECO-STONE project demonstrates that it is possible to reduce the energy consumption during the production chain of natural stone and to obtain more energy efficient final products. Therefore, the project will benefit natural stone producers, final users and the environment.

Natural stone materials able to store thermal energy will be obtained. They will guarantee a more efficient use of energy and costs savings.Measures and solutions introduced by the ECO-STONE project will contribute to the reduction of fossil fuels and CO₂ emissions, and therefore, to a lower energy dependence. As a consequence, the energy consumption in buildings will be reduced, allowing energy and costs savings.
